Loans Processor - Customer Facing (Assessment)

The Team and the Role:

Lendi Group’s Client Solutions team performs the review and lodgement, processing, and settlement of Australian home loan applications. Composed of a small team in Australia, and larger team established in Manila eight years ago, the now 200 strong Client Solutions team is made up of numerous teams performing specialised work to support our fantastic brokers and deliver a five-star client experience.

Reporting to the Client Solutions Assessments Manager, you will be responsible for proactively engaging with lenders, brokers, and clients to ensure lender requirements for unconditional (formal) approval of home loan applications are met. This includes reviewing and interpreting the initial (underwriting) assessment by a lender, addressing outstanding items (missing information requests), while simultaneously keeping Clients and Brokers informed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Actively liaise with lenders, brokers, and clients to ensure home loan applications are accurately and expeditiously progressing from lodgment through to unconditional (formal) approval
  • Obtain and review, through follow-up with clients, up-to-date documentation to support the review and processing of home loan applications
  • Manage expectations and communicate regularly with clients and brokers regarding their home loan application through professional phone and/or email communication
  • Support the broker and lender relationship by performing key steps in the home loan assessments process, ensuring a smooth experience and positively impacting client satisfaction
  • Capture detailed notes of your activity within Salesforce to ensure accurate documentation for each file
  • Be responsible for a pipeline of home loan applications, actively anticipate and address lender, broker, and client needs
  • Keep informed of the home loan assessment process and requirements to ensure alignment with company and industry guidelines and best practices
  •  Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a strong client service delivery
  • Exercise strong judgement in client and file management; escalating issues internally when necessary

 What We’re Looking For:

  •  3+ years of experience working in a similar role within a mortgage/finance industry; prior knowledge and experience with mortgage assessment processes is required
  • A comprehensive understanding of financial transactions within the home loan or commercial real estate industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills with the ability and drive to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and escalate issues internally when necessary
  • Proactive professional with strong time management skills
  • Technology and computer savvy with the ability to navigate and communicate with multiple parties within a virtual environment
  • Experience with Apply Online and Microsoft Office Suite is considered an asset
  • Experience using Salesforce is strongly preferred
