With the understanding that true business partnership is the future of corporate communications, the Corporate Communication Lead will be empowered to set the corporate communications strategy.  You will be in the room when we are debating what to do on social issues, human capital challenges, risk prevention, and how we position the company in an increasingly complicated stakeholder ecosystem (both internally and externally).

You will oversee the successful operation of the function across strategic, BAU and project initiatives. The role involves steering the long-term strategy to build a best-practice corporate communications function, working in partnership with the organisation. At the same time, you will operate in a hands-on capacity to deliver compelling communications, which engage our team and are inclusive of all working in a flex-first manner across the country. 

You will work collaboratively with PR, Strategy, Employee Experience and Culture, Marketing and Leadership teams to deliver operational and strategic communications, executive communications, events, and team engagement initiatives – both internally and externally.  Beyond building the corporate reputation and expanding our social impact, your work will be critical in ensuring our teams have the information they need to do their jobs effectively and will contribute to it being a great place to work.


What you will get to be part of

  • Lead the communication of change initiatives being delivered by teams across the business, leveraging channels and cadences that will have the biggest impact for our team members and impact on our corporate brand
  • Work with Leadership to design and implement a Corporate Communications agenda that delivers measurable ROI and is continually sharpened to better reach internal and external audiences.
  • Actively engaging with our stakeholders to improve the way we manage, create, and deliver strategic and operational communications
  • Work with our external partners to lead the development and execution of the Corporate Social responsibility agenda and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned to our social purpose.
  • Understand where there is reputational risk and develop appropriate strategies and mitigations.
  • Identify and execute ways to bring our corporate culture and flex first ways of working to life internally and externally
  • Own your own portfolio of communications projects and operational channels and working with stakeholders across the business to plan and deliver appropriate, relevant, timely communications


Our ideal candidate profile

  • A creative, strategic communications professional who is eager to challenge the status quo and has experience in doing so
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proven experience in producing compelling and persuasive communication across all channels
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with and influence senior management
  • Ability to assess impacts of changes, connect the dots across multiple projects and BAU initiatives and propose mitigating communications activities to ensure successful outcomes


Experience that will help you succeed in the role

  • Experience in leading reputation and social impact programs for a corporate brand
  • Prior background in banking or the financial services industry, and experience in engagement with latest forms of digital, social media and technology-led communication methods and measurement
