About the role: 

As the Senior Risk Analyst you will play an integral role in supporting the Lendi Group business to effectively manage the risk and control environment and enhance the risk culture. You will focus on continued improvement and on ensuring consistency of risk management across each business area. This is achieved through partnering with the head of each business areas, Risk & Control Champions and other Line 1 &2 risk and compliance SMEs. You will provide hands on support with the incident and issue management, risk assessments, controls testing, risk profiles, supplier risk assessments, risk monitoring and reporting. You will be the Lendi’s Risk management system conduit and ensure systems users have appropriate access right. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive better risk outcomes and role model a strong risk culture through providing guidance and support to Line 1 Risk champions and the business  
  • Assist with Risk and Control Self-Assessment and establishing CAP (Control Assurance Program) testing  
  • Coach business stakeholders to identify and manage actions, incidents and issues and ensure their timely completion  
  • Advise business on supplier risk and governance process; Ensure all suppliers are tiered correctly, assist the business with completing the required risk assessments  
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations 
  • Ownership of inhouse risk management system (Lighthouse), user access management and system maintenance  
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new processes and business rules being applied to Lighthouse 
  • Assist with conducting and responding to regular risk culture surveys across the business  
  • Be involved in supporting fortnightly cross-business Line 1 Risk meetings  
  • Drive the adherence with all company policies, risk appetite, and applicable regulatory requirements  
  • Handle ad-hoc requests or inquiries related to Risk and Control initiatives and function 

Qualifications: 

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in finance, supply chain, business management, finance or any equivalent 
  • Has at least 1 to 3 years of experience with operational risk, risk governance, control assurance or any equivalent 
  •  Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills 
  • Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team  
  • Has excellent analytical skills as well as a keen eye for detail 
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with other business units and team members to ensure risks are identified and actions to deliver results 
  • Flexible in taking on various responsibilities and in adjusting to strategic business changes and/or operational practices 
  • Has prior experience working with a risk management system like Protecht’s ERM Platform is a highly preferred 
  • Has prior experience in a financial service or mortgage industry would be highly preferred
