Line 1 Risk Analyst

As Line 1 Risk Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting the Lendi Group business to effectively manage the risk and control environment and enhance the risk culture. You will focus on continued improvement and on ensuring consistency of risk management across each business area. This is achieved through partnering with the head of each business areas, Risk & Control Champions and other Line 1 &2 risk and compliance SMEs. You will provide hands on support with the incident and issue management, risk assessments, controls testing, risk profiles, supplier risk assessments, risk monitoring and reporting. You will be the Lendi’s Risk management system conduit and ensure systems users have appropriate access right.


What you will get to be part of

  • Drive better risk outcomes and role model a strong risk culture through providing guidance and support to Line 1 Risk champions and the business
  • Assist with Risk and Control Self-Assessment and establishing CAP (Control Assurance Program) testing
  • Advise business on the supplier risk and governance process and ensure that all suppliers are tiered correctly 
  • Be involved in supporting fortnightly cross-business Line 1 Risk meetings and assist in conducting and responding to regular risk culture surveys across the business
  • Ownership of inhouse risk management system (Lighthouse), user access management, system maintenance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for the new processes
  • Drive the adherence with all company policies, risk appetite, and applicable regulatory requirements


Our ideal candidate

  • A Bachelor's degree related to Risk/Commerce/Finance or related courses
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills to assist with trainings and stakeholder management 
  • Ability to proactively identify, understand, communicate and act on current and future risks
  • Work collaboratively with other BU’s and team members to ensure risks are identified and actions to deliver results


Experience that will help you succeed in the role

  • Prior background in operational risk/risk governance or control assurance 
  • Experience within an operational role of similar nature, preferably from a Retail Banking or Broker Business
